23 Nov 2012

Early morning Nov 22, 2012 looking at Castle Towers. It could use a bit more snow!!

As of 06:00 hrs this morning the temperature at 2260 meters was -3.5, in the valley it is 0. 25 cm fell at Pig Alley by 0530 this morning. Winds at 2260 meters are 50-80 KPH from the SSE. At 1860 meters the winds are 30-55 KPH from the S. Strong winds, heavy snowfall and rising temperatures will certainly change the danger scale. Only time will tell how this new load will react with the touchy bridging we are experiencing. Update: 34 cm recorded at catskinner 06:30 this morning.

The front should pass through our area this morning giving us sunny breaks as early as Saturday afternoon. Expect 3-5 cm today. The ridge will build to possibly Wednesday.
