A snow cell dropping graupel in the alpine yesterday afternoon.

There were at times sucker holes passing by.

Satellite picture of the area yesterday at 17:00 Hrs.

At 2240 Meters the temperature was -8, winds were 10-20 KPH from the ESE. At 1650 meters the temperature was -3, there were 1 cm of new snow reported there last night. In the valley it is +2. Observations taken at 06:00 Hrs this AM.

For the forecast, the trough in our area will slowly move through this morning with a bit of precipitation  as the strong north west flow aloft gives way to a strong upper ridge this afternoon. Unsettled conditions for today.  For the week expect mostly sunny skies with a few periods of cloud, particularly on Tuesday. Freezing levels will range from 1300 meters and each day slowly increase to 3000 meters by Thursday. As the models stand there will be a weak front approach the coast by Friday. Possible to get 1-2 cm but unlikely, before the passage of the trough with Freezing levels tonight dropping to surface.
