Nice looking morning, forecast was certainly different yesterday.

Satellite picture shows a break for now! Will likely be cloudier today.




At 2240 meters the temperature was -2.5, winds were calm. At 1550 meters the temperature was +2, no new snow and a base of 117 cm. In the valley it was +8. Observations taken at 08:00 Hrs. this AM.

For the forecast the persistent recirculating low is weakening giving us mostly cloudy skies with light precipitation and a freezing level of 2200 meters for today. Advection and convection may produce some precipitation. Unsettled conditions will persist for the next few days, Wednesday looking like the wettest, with the possibility of ridging arriving for Thursday. Guesstimates; Today Trace-2mm, Sunday Trace-2mm, Monday Trace-2mm, Tuesday Trace-2mm.


Blackcomb Bowl yesterday morning. It was a pleasant day with some good turns to be had.

More sun yesterday morning.

Yesterday afternoon the clouds formed some large cumulus nimbus.

Work continues on the Harmony Chair.

Powder marks from explosive control during the winter are visible in the cornice line.

Snow showers yesterday afternoon.

By the end of the day there were more breaks and with lots of cumulus clouds.
