Avalanche control on Mt Hutt takes out the bottom lift station of the triple chair. More on the situation there in the links below.

Looking wet for today!

At 2240 meters the temperature was +4, winds were 5-10 KPH from the ESE. At 1550 meters the temperature was +8.5. In the valley it is +13. Observations taken at 08:00 hrs this AM.

For the forecast, the moist southerly flow will bring rain showers to our area into Wednesday, possible for some unsettled weather for Thursday into Friday. With a deep upper low offshore and a large upper level ridge developing to the south forecast confidence is fairly low at this time for the end of the week.
Lets hope the ridge wins and we start to get some nice summer weather by Saturday!!
