August 5, 2013, Looking like a fine day!!

Ring Lake August 4, 2013. Great hike to a spectacular meadow, more pics and information in this post.

Satellite picture is looking very good.

At 2240 meters the temperature was +13, winds were 5-10 KPH from the SSW. At 1550 meters the temperature was +13.5. In the valley the temperature was +19. Observations taken this am at 08:00 hrs.

For the forecast we will see mostly sunny skies for the remainder of the week. A weak upper ridge has established itself in our area. There is a possibility for an upper low moving from the south to be here by the weekend but more on that later in the week. Enjoy the sunshine. Some cloud may move into this area on Thursday.

Conflict Lake is about half way to Ring Lake. Trail goes by Callaghan Lodge.

One of the stream crossings on the way to Ring Lake. Not a well marked trail but easy to navigate.

The view is well worth the effort.

Great time to get this hike in, lots of great flowers.
