Cloudy in the morning but luckily it broke in the afternoon. November 29Th.

Stratus layer in the valley with many cloud types in the sky yesterday afternoon. Not so nice below 1000 meters.

Cirrus, cumulus, stratus, but no precip until 20:00 Hours, Nov 29Th.

Frontal wave moved in later in the day just prior to dusk.


Weather observations taken at 06:00 Hrs November 30, 2013.

2240 meters    No Data
2180 meters    -4,    winds were 25-35 KPH from the SSW
1860 meters    -3.5, winds were 10-20 KPH from the SSE
1835 meters    -2,    winds were 15-25 KPH from the SW
1650 meters    -1,   7 cm of new snow, Base 67 cm
1550 meters    -1,   7 cm of new snow, Base 49 cm
  660 meters    +3,  Valley Temp,1.2 mm precip recorded yesterday

For the forecast, today will be cloudy with some light snow at times. A stronger Pacific frontal system will arrive later today bringing light to moderate snowfall into Sunday. Flurries again for Sunday ramping up to moderate snowfall again Sunday night into Monday morning. Northerly flow with  modified arctic air will bring clear and cold conditions into next week. Freezing level will hover around 1500 meters until Monday morning when it will drop to the valley. Guesstimates: 5-8 cm by Sunday morning, 10-15 cm by Monday morning.
