Unsettled yesterday, mostly cloudy with some nice sunny breaks mid day.

At times there were some convective snow flurries.

    Cornice noses are very fragile.

Mount Davidson in Garibaldi Provincial Park.

Lots of cloud around at sunset April 26, 2014.

For the forecast, the cold front is upon us with cloudy conditions and showers through the day. This front will move East this evening, allowing an upper ridge to build for Monday. Unsettled conditions will prevail Monday and the high pressure will strengthen Tuesday into Thursday bringing warm sunny conditions. Confidence in the forecast beyond Thursday is low, as of now we could see another trough move into our zone with cooler temperatures late Friday and precipitation for Saturday. Guesstimates: 5-8 cm by Monday morning. Freezing levels will slowly start to rise on Tuesday and max out at 3800 meters on Wednesday night. Warm alpine temperatures will certainly have an effect on the snowpack.

As of 07:00 hrs we have broken cloud and variable visibility.

Front moving onto the coast in the morning.

Front finally reaching the coast later in the day.

Occluded front heading in our direction.
