For the forecast, the strong upper ridge will give us sunny warm conditions into Thursday. The high cirrus cloud above us this morning should burn off fairly quickly.  Good chance we will see a mix of sun and cloud for Thursday. We will see cool cloudy marine air move into our area for Thursday evening, prior to an upper trough moving in from the Pacific Northwest for the weekend. Friday is presently looking unsettled with the possibility of some showers. Saturday is looking like the wettest day with cloudy skies and light precipitation during the day, changing to moderate precipitation Saturday evening.  Cooler temperatures and showery weather will continue through Sunday. Freezing levels today will reach 3600 meters, slowly dropping Thursday, then dropping to 2200 meters by Friday night.

As of 08:00 hrs in the alpine we have some high thin cloud and unlimited visibility.

Thin high cirrus cloud in our zone this morning.

Onshore flow of cooler marine air moving in on Thursday.

Big picture, still lots of moisture in the Pacific.
