Weather Observations for April 28, 2015; taken at 05:00 Hours.

2180 meters    +3, Winds were 45-65 KPH from the SSW
1835 meters    +7, Winds were 25-60 KPH from the SE
1650 meters    +8, No new snow,  Base 170 cm, relative humidity is 76%
  660 meters    +7, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +11.4, 2.2 mm of precip recorded on Monday.


For the forecast, the weak cold front is moving onshore after a brief period of unsettled weather last night. The cold front will bring light to moderate precipitation to the area later this morning continuing into the afternoon with a possible break Tuesday evening in a Westerly Flow aloft. Expect strong winds as the front passes through our zone. The freezing level will drop from 2200 meters Tuesday morning to 1400 meters by Tuesday night. A weaker cold front arrives for Wednesday afternoon with light precipitation continuing into Thursday evening.  The Fl will fluctuate from highs of 1700 meters to lows of 1300 meters with light snow falling in the alpine during that time frame.  The ridge again tries to gain some ground with unsettled weather for Friday and Saturday. Guesstimates: 3-5 cm above 1400 meters by Thursday morning, 3-5 cm above 1600 meters on Friday morning.

    Continued precipitation into Thursday.
