    Friday morning--May 1, 2015. Mostly cloudy.

    Ceiling was quite low.

    Clouds eventually lifted with convective cloud development.

Weather Observations for May 2, 2015; taken at 06:00 Hours.

2180 meters     -6, Winds were 10-15 KPH from the NNE
1835 meters     -4, Winds were 0-10 KPH from the S
1650 meters     -3, No new snow, Base 170 cm, relative humidity is 92%
  660 meters     -1, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +14.1.

    As of 07:00 Hours we have clear skies and unlimited visibility at 1835 meters.

For the forecast, a weak upper ridge will bring mostly dry and warm weather to the area until Monday afternoon with a Northerly flow aloft. There is the chance of some convective cloud development today and the freezing level will max out at 2200 meters. Sunday will see sunny skies with the FL rising to 2400 meters. Monday will be just a bit cooler with the FL dropping again to 2200 meters with the chance of some convective cloud development. A cool upper low will begin to bring cloud into the area Monday afternoon as the flow becomes more Westerly. Tuesday will be  a cloudy day with light precipitation and the FL dropping to 1500 meters. The air mass will be cool and unstable so there is a chance of some thunder and lightning activity on Tuesday. Some disagreement in the models to what will happen after Wednesday but at this time it will likely be mostly cloudy with unsettled conditions for Thursday. There is a good chance of a change back to warm dry weather for next weekend.

    Low is building in the Gulf of Alaska.

    Low begins migrating South on Monday.

    Low will bring wet cool weather to our area by Tuesday.
