FOR THE FORECAST:

An exiting cold front will be replaced by an unsettled day today with a relatively dry air mass and cooler temperatures in a Southwesterly flow aloft. The weak upper level shortwave ridge will be replaced by a shortwave trough Monday evening, bringing very light snow showers to mid mountain Tuesday morning and continuing into the evening.. A weak ridge will influence the pattern with unsettled conditions into Wednesday and the FL getting close or reaching the valley by the evening.  Unsettled weather again for Thursday but there is a deep trough expected to develop off the coast in this time frame. Only time will tell. Looking unsettled for Friday in most of the models with more snow on the way for Saturday. Will be posting again on Friday for a clearer picture of what is to come. The weather pattern has finally reset to more seasonable values with several troughs moving through the area, there is not a lot of consistency or confidence in what will happen later in the week!! The jet stream is moving slightly south, they can have it!!

Drying trend for today as the front moves East..

A break in the morning, some light flurries possible in the afternoon. FL will begin to drop.

Weak frontal band for Tuesday with overcast skies and some flurries. FL hovering at 1100M.

Cooler temperatures by Wednesday with a weak ridge building.

Flow into Thursday will bring cooler temperatures, as the low moves south.

High pressure for later in the week , but that low will send cloud our way with some flurries.
