Locally, there have been several Nc (natural cornice drops) resulting in Sz 2-3 avalanches. Cornices are very ripe and should be avoided. There were several Sa (skier accidental) over the weekend ouside the ski area boundry. Cornice control in the ski area has resulted in large debris piles in most of the alpine bowls.

   As of 07:00 hrs this am over Blackcomb bowl we have broken cloud and unlimited visibility.


FORECAST:

An occluded front will pass through the area tody with mostly overcast skies in a Southwest flow aloft. We can expect intermittent light prercipitaion with the FL maxing out in the 1200 meter range, dropping back to just above the surface tonight. A very weak ridge will bring unsettled weather to the area Tuesday before a front from the South pushes through the area on Wednesday, with light/moderate precipitaion and a 1300 meter Fl. An upper low will continue to give us cloudy skies and light precipitaion Thursday into Friday.
Guesstimates: 2-6 cm by Tuesday morning, 0 cm for Wednesday morning, 10-15 cm for Thursday morning, 5-10 cm for Friday morning.

    An outdoor professional was caught and injured in large sz 2 on the right side of spearhead GL. We swept and cleared        a sz2 out of don't swill....Happened on Saturday. These photos were taken on Sunday.
