    YESTERDAY:

    Snowing lightly in the valley early Friday morning.

    Snowing moderately at 1000 meters yesterday am.

    Nice morning for a session.

    Some holes in the morning.

   Big holes for a while in the afternoon.

    Unsettled at times in the PM.

    Snowing at 16:30 Hrs in the valley.

    Friday Afternoon.

Weather Observations for March 24, 2018  taken at 06:00 Hours.

2180 meters   -12, Winds were 15-20 KPH N--Whistler Peak
1835 meters   -10, Winds were     0-5 KPH N --Roundhouse
1660 meters   -11, 3 cm of new, 12 cm in 24 hrs  Base 314 cm --Pig Alley
  660 meters     -3, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +3.8, 2.8 mm of precip recorded yest


    As of 07:00 Hrs we have broken cloud and unlimited visibility.



FORECAST:

The cold upper level low has weakened bringing unsettled weather for today in a Northwest flow aloft. The freezing level may reach 1000 meters this afternoon and drop back to surface tonight. Unsettled Sunday morning before a weak warm front brings overcast skies and light snowfall by Sunday evening. Monday through Thursday looks cloudy with periods of light snow and the FL rising as the week progresses.
Guesstimates: Trace-1 cm by Sunday morning, 3-5 cm by Monday morning, 4-8 cm by Tuesday morning, trace-1 cm by Wednesday morning

    INFORMATION & OBSERVATIONS:

    Southeasterly winds most of the day.

    Overcast in the am.

    Everyone was enjoying the new snow.

    There were some good turns to be had.

    Cornice debris in most bowls.

    Know where the permanent closures are, loosing privileges for one year sucks!!


    Convective activity Friday. From 06:00 to 14:00 Catskinner & Pig Alley received 9 cm new.
