FORECAST:

The weakening low will slide to our Southeast today bringing unsettled weather in a Westerly flow aloft this am, transitioning to a Northerly flow aloft this afternoon. The FL will likely go to 2000 meters by this afternoon dropping to 1500 meters by tonight. The occasional shower/flurry is expected later in the day. Monday is looking mostly cloudy with the FL rising to 2000 meters during the middle of the day with periodic showers/flurries above 1500 meters. A more vigorous frontal band arrives Tuesday with the FL dropping to a high of 1500 meters and low of around 1000 meters. Wednesday will also see a fairly active frontal band with the FL hovering around 1200 meters dropping to 900 Wednesday night. A weak upper level trough will bring unsettled weather into Thursday with some periodic flurries.

    Winter in the Alpine. Winds were transporting a lot of snow. Cornice tabs fragile.

   12 cm recorded yesterday from 06:30 to 14:30 hrs. 236 cm base there.

    Spring in the valley.

    Breaks later in the afternoon.

    Wet in Kirkwood, as an Atmospheric River soaks Northern California .
