Weather Observations for May 20, 2015: taken at 05:00 Hours.

2180 meters      +6, Winds were 5-10 KPH from the SE
1835 meters      +7, Winds were 0-5 KPH from the NNE
1650 meters      +6, No new snow, Base 102 cm, relative humidity is 80%
  660 meters      +6, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +24.8. 0.8 mm of precip recorded Tues.

   As of 06:00 Hours this am we have scattered cloud and unlimited visibility.

For the forecast, blocked upper level pattern will prevail into early next week with the very weak onshore flow switching slightly to a Northerly flow for today. The surface trough of low pressure and the area of high pressure are in limbo. Unsettled conditions will prevail with mostly sunny skies in the morning, convective cloud development in the afternoons with the chance of some isolated rain showers. A weak upper low will slide by the coast on Friday with increasing cloud and some light rain forecasted for the afternoon. Saturday the pattern returns with unsettled conditions into early next week.

    High pressure is bringing mostly sunny skies to the area for today.

    Still moisture close by for Wednesday.

    Fairly dry on Thursday.

    Low moves down the coast on Friday.

    Large convective cloud development yesterday afternoon in the Upper Lillooet.

    There were some isolated showers in the corridor Monday afternoon.

1835 meters      +6, Winds were 0-5 KPH from the E
1650 meters      +5, No new snow, Base 1o5 cm, relative humidity is 90%
  660 meters      +6, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +20.9. 0.2 mm of precip recorded Mon.


    As of 05:45 this am we have clear skies and unlimited visibility.

For the forecast, low level onshore flow will maintain unsettled conditions into Friday. We can expect fairly sunny days with with some convective cloud development later in the day with a slight chance of some showers. Friday evening the threat of rain will increase as a weak low pressure moves into the area for Saturday.

    High pressure should keep the low to the East of our area.

    Clouds will form later in the day on Wednesday. On the edge of the high and low still.

   Thursday will limey be the warmest day.

    Early Sunday morning, May 17, 2015.  There were rain showers in the corridor in the morning.

    Some awesome early morning cloud. Wet in the morning.

    As the morning progressed the weather did improve by the afternoon.

    Convective cloud development later in the afternoon with some blue skies.

1650 meters      +5, No new snow, Base 110 cm, relative humidity is 100%
  660 meters      +9, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +20.5. 2.7 mm of precip recorded Sun.

   As of 05:45 this am we have cloudy skies with unlimited visibility.


For the forecast, weak offshore flow will bring mostly cloudy conditions today with the chance of some light rain. The flow will shift tomorrow to a more Northerly flow which will bring slightly drier and warm conditions to the  area for the remainder of the week. Still considered unsettled but precipitation will be more likely later in the day and into the evening. Temperatures will warm up to the mid 20's in the valley by Thursday. The freezing level will remain for the remainder of the week.

    Cloud for most of the day today.

    Should see some breaks this evening.

    High pressure should bring mostly sunny skies for Tuesday.

    High off the coast will bring warm dry weather for Wednesday.

    Sun was getting through in Pemberton yesterday morning.

    Mount Currie first light.

    Rain showers, thunderstorm, and hail yesterday later in the day.

1835 meters      +3, Winds were 5-10 KPH from the S
1650 meters      +3, No new snow, Base 115 cm, relative humidity is 100%
  660 meters      +8, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +21.3. 12.9 mm of precip recorded Sat.


For the forecast, low level onshore flow will likely change to a more Northerly flow today into Monday with some subtle changes, slightly drier and warmer conditions. The weak low pressure will still allow the chance of some showers in the present unsettled pattern we are in. Tuesday and Wednesday at this time are also looking drier and warmer with the brunt of the precipitation happening in the evening hours.
