Max Temp in Squamish yesterday was +17.7 with 14.7 mm of rain.
Max Temp in Pemberton yesterday was +17.3 with 6.6 mm of rain.


    As of 07:30 Hrs this am we have broken skies and variable visibility.


FORECAST:

A cold front passed through the area early this morning with cool temperatures in its wake. A cool upper level low will bring unsettled weather to the area today with the Fl presently at around 3000 meters dropping to 1800 meters later in the day, in a Southerly flow aloft. Tomorrow will be similar as the upper level low spins a moist air mass our way. We can expect scattered showers, some breaks but mostly cloudy conditions before the upper low moves South , bringing drier weather for Sunday, as a weak ridge builds. The upper flow is expected to shift Westerly on Monday with a moist cool air mass for most of the week.

    Monday May 29, 2017. Unsettled but a warm day, Max temp in the valley was +30.3.

    Late Monday afternoon.

    Moist Tuesday May 30, 2017. 10.8 mm of rain recorded at 660 meters.

    There were some breaks on Tuesday as well.

    Wednesday May 31, 2017--another overcast day with showers, 1.1 mm recorded at Nester's Plot.

    There were some breaks on Wednesday.


    Thursday June 1, 2017--Showers in the morning & evening. 5.7 mm recorded at 660 meters.

  660 meters     +8, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +14.4, 5.7 mm of Precip recorded yest
Precip gauges are not recording on the mountain!

    As of 07:00 Hrs this am we have overcast skies, limited visibility and fresh snow on the ground.


FORECAST:

A broad upper level trough and a weak cold front will bring precipitation early this morning, trending to unsettled conditions later this am with an improving trend by days end. The upper flow will be Southwest with a high pressure aloft developing in the evening. Weak ridging for Saturday with mostly cloud and the possibility of some intermittent showers in the morning. A weak upper trough will bring cool temperatures and unsettled weather for Sunday. A weak ridge builds for Monday through Wednesday night with seasonable temperatures and mostly sunny skies. Another upper trough is forecasted for Thursday with overcast conditions, a frontal band in a warm air mass will bring moderate rain for most of the day. A cooler moist front moves onshore for Friday.
There are some model differences for Thursday into Friday but it is June and likely to be somewhat wet.

We found these (relatively fresh looking) tracks near Brandywine-what do you think these are? My guess is a black bear mom and cub(s?). But maybe they're grizzlies?
