2240 meters    +2, Winds were 35-60 KPH S --Horstman Hut
1860 meters    +4, Winds were 20-35 KPH S--Rendevous
1550 meters    +6, RH 50%--Catskinner 
  660 meters    +5, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +18.7, trace of Precip recorded yest

    As of 07:00 Hrs this am we have overcast skies, limited visibility and it is raining lightly.


FORECAST:

A weak cold front in a Northwest flow aloft will bring overcast skies and periods of light rain today.
Saturday will be similar with periods of light rain, snow in the upper elevations. A weak ridge begins to build Sunday with a mix of sun and cloud. Monday the ridge builds, with a mix of sun and cloud. By Tuesday a weak trough will push through with unsettled weather. Cooler by Wednesday with unsettled weather forecasted, likely snow showers in the alpine. Unsettled Thursday into Friday with cooler fall temperatures.

    A sucker hole on Saturday morning, clouds thickened as the day progressed.

    Bike park quiet on Saturday.


    Pyroclastic with a dusting on Sunday.

    Awesome fall weather on Tuesday. +15.6 Deg for a high in the valley. Low of 0.

    Beauty day Wednesday, High in the valley of +16.9.

    Thursday afternoon, High in the valley of +18.7.

    Saturday morning September 23, 2017. Looking gray but it did improve. High pushed back!!

    Saturday evening, high of +18 in the valley, snow melted quickly in the alpine..

    Monday morning September 25, 2017. Overcast with some light spotty showers.

    Tuesday morning September 26, 2017. High building but some clouds clinging to local peaks.

    As of 07:00 Hrs this am we have overcast skies, variable visibility and it is raining lightly.

   Slow moving front for today.


FORECAST:

A weak cold front in a South > Southwesterly flow aloft will bring overcast skies and periods of rain for today. An upper trough will bring unsettled cool weather for the weekend. Looks like there is a break in the precip tonight into Saturday morning. Sunday has the potential to be unsettled with a mix of sun and cloud.  At this time a high pressure will build for early next week with a mix of mostly sun and some cloud. As of now there will likely be another weak trough push through by next Thursday..


    Wet Friday morning, should dry out by this evening.

    Ridge rebuilds Monday into Wednesday.

Monday October 2, 2017 Update:

An upper level ridge has developed with an  East >Northeasterly flow aloft. We can expect mostly sunny skies into Friday with periods of some cloud development during the week. Models are suggesting the ridge breaks down on Friday into Saturday, with an upper level trough pushing into the area, but more on that later in the week.

    Freezing level will rise Tuesday into Friday.

    Looking nice for Wednesday.

    Nice looking day Thursday with seasonable temperatures.


    INFORMATION & OBSERVATIONS:

    Awesome day for downhilling on Saturday.

    Sunday morning temperature at 07:00 hrs was +5 at 2240 meters.

    Unsettled on Sunday, High in the valley was +16.8.

     Monday max temp in the valley was +15.8, 1.8 mm of precip recorded at 660 meters.

    Tuesday afternoon, +22 for a high in the valley.

    Fall colours are appearing, Duffy Lake Road. High in Pemberton on Wednesday was +26.



    Strong upper level high on Wednesday afternoon.

    Still remnants of last weeks snowfall, Thursday morning.

    High pressure on Thursday.

    Bluebird on Thursday.
