A weak impulse of moisture this morning as a frontal band pushes through with a Westerly/Southwesterly flow aloft.  Stronger frontal band for this evening with strong winds and light/moderate precipitation. The FL should hover just below the surface this am and rise to around 1000 meters with the passage of the warm front. Sunday will see clouds and periods of light snow as the front passes through our zone. An upper ridge will influence the area as early as Monday morning with mostly sunny skies by the afternoon in a Northwesterly flow.. Tuesday is looking like a nice sunny day with another weak frontal band developing Christmas night into Wednesday. Ridge will likely rebuild for Thursday. Cool temps, some snow and sun for the holiday week. Guesstimates: 10-15 cm by Sunday morning, 2-5 cm by Monday morning.

GOES IR image from this am, weak impulse this an, stronger later in the afternoon.

Low will send a strong frontal band with stong winds later today.

Upper trough for Sunday with light snow, FL just above surface.

Cooler temps with the High pressure to the North.

Christmas Day will be cold and sunny.
