    YESTERDAY:

    Cloudy in the valley Friday morning.

    There were a few breaks in the am.

    Snow conditions were nice, especially North facing chutes.

    Nice light at times.

    There were some nice turns to be had.

    There were some nice breaks at times.

    Variable visibility in the afternoon.

FORECAST:

The fast moving front will push through this morning in a West Southwesterly flow aloft. The brunt of the storm went well South of us with very little snow being left in our zone. The system has pretty much pushed through with winds up to 180 KPH at 2240 meters in the early hours of this morning. Gusts of 105 KPH were recorded at 1860 meters early this am. The Fl has remained fairly low, sitting at around 900 meters and dropping to surface by tonight. Mostly cloudy today with periods of light snow and a few breaks. Weak ridge begins to build later today with mostly sunny skies Sunday into Monday. Another weak frontal band will push onshore Monday night into Tuesday with some light snowfall. Unsettled weather Wednesday into Thursday. Guesstimates: 2-6 cm by Sunday morning.

    AVALANCHE ACTIVITY:

    An avalanche has killed a ski tourer in Grisons, Switzerland. Article below.                  Net Pic

    Locally, AC produced a few Sz 1-1.5 Sc Xe. A few Sz 1 Na also observed.



    INFORMATION & OBSERVATIONS:

    Certainly felt like more than 10 cm in certain areas.

    Fairly good visibility in the alpine for most of the day.

    Looks like there is some work going on at the Horstman T Bar.

    Flurries at around 13:30 Hrs.

    Moderate avalanche hazard on Friday.

    Not really a pineapple for us but lots of activity too our South.
