From South Coast Touring:

Had a very spooky remote trigger recently. After skiing amazing N facing lines on Pattison and Decker with no signs of instability. Then on a low angle main travel route a large remote trigger happens while skinning. Hard to say what layer was the culprit. As it was deep and below 2 crusts. In a zone that is often shallower due to South facing effects etc. based on how thick and Knife hard the lowest slab was I would not be surprised if it failed on a late January Cr/Fa combo
