    Awesome snow in the valley.

    Alpine open on Blackcomb before 10:00 hrs Sunday.

    Snowing 2 cm per hour Sunday morning.

    Black & White.

    Great turns in the alpine.

    Sunday January 12, 2020. 14:00 Hrs. -13.4 Deg C with a 5-20 KPH North wind.

    Nice snow producer!!! Sunday afternoon.

    Same time frame as above.

    Megan and Harry should move to our bubble!!! Snowing in the valley.

1560 meters .    -20, 5 cm in 12 Hrs, 15 cm in 24 Hrs, Base 134 cm--Catskinner
  660 meters      -15, Valley Temp, Max temp Yesterday was -1.8, 8.8 mm of precip yesterday.

    As of 07:00 hrs we have overcast skies, variable visibility and snowing very lightly.



FORECAST:

Unsettled cold weather for today with a mix of sun & cloud in a Northerly flow aloft. Even colder valley temperatures tomorrow with a mix of sun and cloud. Might be wrong on this one, but the low to our South could easily send some precipitation our way Tuesday night into Wednesday. We are just on the edge but have to think its coming. More weather on the way for the latter part of the week.
Guesstimates: Trace-2 cm by Tuesday morning, 4-6 cm by Wednesday morning, 10-15 cm by Thursday morning.

    AVALANCHE ACTIVITY:

    An avalanche near Rock Creek, Oregon has killed a snowmobiler. Article below.              Net Pic

    Avalanche control on Whistler produced Sz 2 soft slabs Xe & Sc.

    Yesterday on Blackcomb Sc produced Sz 1-1.5 soft slabs.

    There was some releases in the new snow. Soft slabs.

    Loosing your pass can be a one year event including bike park privileges. Is it worth poaching??

    Conditions in the alpine are very good!!

    Its good to be seen!!!

    Lower Disease Ridge was busy.

    Melt freeze-melt freeze-slow glide-melt freeze-melt freeze-more creep-melt freeze and so on!!

    Not as busy in Spanky's yesterday.

    Nester's weather plot-660 meters, 8.8 mm of precipitation recorded there on Sunday.
