FORECAST:

High pressure continues to strengthen with clear skies in a South Easterly flow loft. The freezing level will hover around surface for today with sunny skies. Inverted temperatures for Monday into Wednesday with sunny skies. A trough may send some cloud into the area on Thursday with some dry unsettled days into next week. Guesstimates: No new snow for at least one week.

      Low still to our South, but warm ridge is growing. Sunny weather for today.

   With ski hills closing more people will venture into the backcountry. Play Safe.            Net Pic

    Not much to talk about on Blackcomb, Sz 1 Na in Lakeside. Sz 1 Sr reported in BBB. 

    Limited avalanche mitigation on Whistler. A few Sz 1-1.5 Xe on reverse loaded features.



    INFORMATION & OBSERVATIONS:

    Some alpine lifts eventually opened, no Peak Chair or Symphony.

    No chairs on the Peak Chair. Certainly not for at least a week.

    Shannon Falls.

    Outflow winds on Howe Sound.

    Very cold for the middle of March.

    Wind affect in West Bowl.
