  660 meters      -2, Valley Temp, Max temp Yesterday was +0.8, 0.0 mm of precip yesterday


      Sunrise 07:30 Hrs. Overcast with variable visibility. Snowing lightly.

FORECAST:

A weak trough in a Westerly flow aloft will bring periods of light snow today. The freezing level is below surface and may rise to around 800 meters this afternoon dropping back to surface tonight. A ridge builds into the area Friday with some lingering cloud in the early am. Mostly sunny for the pm. Good chance of a weak short wave trough arriving Saturday with periods of light snow. Models diverge on Saturday so may just see some cloud. Weak ridging for Sunday but again some models are calling for a weak impulse of moisture on Sunday, may be an unsettled day with some flurries. Another weak trough is forecasted on Monday, more on that in Monday's post. Guesstimates: 4-8 cm by Friday am, 0-trace by Saturday am, 0-1 cm by Sunday am, 0-trace by Monday am. Long range models are calling for snow next week.

      Some welcome sun light on Blackcomb Monday, 16:15 Hrs. -7 Deg C at 2240 m.

     Mix of sun and cloud Tuesday. Good snow making weather.

      Good coverage in the alpine. Evidence of some old avalanche activity Tuesday afternoon.

      Wednesday am, high deflecting moisture North.

      Tantalus Range Wednesday am.
