     YESTERDAY

      Front moved in Wednesday morning but really did not produce much snow. in the pm.

     Good conditions for early season.

      Flurries in the afternoon.


Weather Observations for November 25, 2021 taken at 06:00 Hours.

2180 meters      -4, Winds were 50-85 KPH SE--Whistler Peak 
1835 meters      -2, Winds were 15-30 KPH ESE--Round House
1650 meters      -8,  10 cm in 12 Hrs, 11 cm in 24 Hrs. Base 110 cm? --Pig Alley
  660 meters       0, Valley Temp, Max temp Yesterday was +2.0, 2.1 mm of precip yesterday


       As of 06:45 Hrs this am we have overcast skies, limited visibility and it is snowing to the valley.



FORECAST:

A moist active front will push through today in a Westerly flow aloft. The freezing level starts at around 1000 m and will slowly rise to around 1500 m, fingers crossed. May go to 1800 m. Expect periods of light to moderate precipitation with strong winds as the day progresses. Warm front followed by a cold front before Friday morning. Lull in the storm cycle Friday with some light precipitation early Friday am, before unsettled weather brings mostly overcast conditions with the possibility of some sunny breaks in the afternoon. Warm weather arrives Saturday with moderate/heavy precipitation and a rising freezing level. More on that in tomorrow's post. Pineapple express (atmospheric river) Saturday into Sunday and another one Tuesday/Wednesday. Still some glitches in information gathering, will get better!!

Guesstimates: 20-40 cm above 1200 m by Friday am,  1-3 cm by Saturday am, 30-40 cm above 1800 m by Sunday am.

      AVALANCHE ACTIVITY:

      No new activity to report, but when old debris gets covered be careful under slide paths.


      INFORMATION & OBSERVATIONS:

      Wind affected snow in the alpine, but depending on aspect it was skiing well.

      Catskinner weather plot had a base of 60 cm with a trace of new. 14:30 Hrs Nov 24, 2021.
