Rather a gray day yesterday. Still evidence of the slide on Prime Rib from December 29. We need a dump of new snow!! That event is 1 month old.

At 2284 meters the temperature was -9, winds were 0-10 KPH from the W. At 1650 meters the temperature was -7, 1 cm of new snow was recorded there. In the valley it is -1. Observations taken at 06:00 Hrs.

For the forecast, guess what, more of the same. Unsettled conditions into Wednesday. The stable moist northwest flow aloft will bring periods of very light snow for the next few days. An upper level ridge should build for Friday and Saturday. Snow looks like it will arrive very early Sunday morning and we may have 10 cm by Monday morning. Guesstimates: A centimetre here a centimetre there. Just like the last couple of days.

For the Peak to Valley Race the forecast is looking much more favourable for Friday and Saturday.
