For the Forecast we have sunny skies this morning above the stratus cloud layer which moved in early this morning. This layer should eventually lift and burn off as the upper level ridge continues to build today. After blowing yesterdays forecast I am reluctant to follow any of the models. There is a low Northwest of our area and with the Northerly flow some of the cloud should spill into our area. Possible for us to receive showers over there next couple of days while Vancouver will be basking in the sun. The warm ridge will still have some effect, but the low is also going to influence the weather over our area as well. I am going with unsettled weather for Monday into Wednesday and the ridge strengthening for Thursday and Friday. Freezing levels could rise to 2500 meters today then slowly rise to 2800 meters tomorrow, maxing out at 3300 meters by Tuesday. As of now the models have an upper trough moving our way for next weekend.

Size 2 Na in Boney Basin, Blackcomb Glacier observed yesterday.

As of 07:30 Hrs in the alpine we had clear skies and unlimited visibility.

The low and high will be battling it out until Wednesday.
Stratus layer is evident in this image, also note cloud approaching the coast.
