FORECAST:

An upper level ridge is building offshore with sunny weather in a Northerly flow aloft. The ridge will remain in the area Tuesday with another sunny day. An upper level trough will slide down the coast on Wednesday with some more precipitation and a West-Southwest flow aloft. The trough will weaken on Thursday through Friday with a mix of sun and cloud. A weak ridge should bring mostly sunny skies to our zone for Saturday into Sunday.

    Still smoke in the area Monday, especially to the North.

    Tuesday afternoon, Tantalus Range with some smoke.

    A fire in the East Kootneys, Tuesday.

    Smokey in the Rocky Mountain Trench, Tuesday.

    Wednesday 18:30 Hrs.

    Smoke obscures mountains again on Thursday.

    Marine Stratus layer has pushed into the valley, Friday! Air quality did improve!

    Saturday morning, cooler and cleaner air.

    Sunday morning cloud layer hovering in the 2000 meter elevation.
