FORECAST:

A weakening upper trough and associated cold front will bring showers this am in a Westerly to South Westerly flow aloft. The FL will spike at around 2400 m before dropping to 1400 m tonight. With the passing of the cold front this afternoon we will see some sunny breaks and April showers into this evening. Drier weather for Saturday with unsettled weather and seasonal temperatures for the first day of May. Weak ridging for Sunday with sunny skies and seasonal temperatures. A weak front arrives Monday with periods of light precipitation and cooler temperatures. Tuesday into Wednesday look unsettled with a mix of sun and cloud. Guesstimates: trace-2 mm by Saturday am, 0 mm by Sunday am, 0 mm by Monday am, 1-3 mm by Tuesday am, 0 mm by Wednesday am, 0 mm by Thursday am.

      As of sunrise 05:51 Hrs in the alpine we have obscured skies and limited visibility.


FORECAST:

A weakening warm front and building ridge to the South will bring a dry unsettled day in a Westerly flow aloft. The FL will spike today above the local peaks with mostly overcast skies, and the occasional sunny break. Another front pushes through tonight with periods of light precipitation into Friday morning. Precipitation should ease by Friday afternoon with a mix of cloud, sun and showers. Periods of light rain Friday night into Saturday morning with unsettled weather developing Saturday afternoon into Sunday. Guesstimates: 4-8 mm by Friday am, 1-3 mm by Saturday am, 0-trace by Sunday am, 1-3 mm by Monday am.
