    Sunday morning July 16, 2017. Cloudy in the am, showers-1.9 mm recorded at 660 meters.

    Later Sunday afternoon.

    Early Monday morning July 17, 2017. Smoke in the distance.

    Tuesday afternoon, July 18, 2017. Smoke on the horizon.

    Wednesday morning July 19, 2017. Still some smoke to the North.

    Wednesday evening the clouds began to move in.

    Thursday July 20, 2017. Cooler temperatures and some rain on the way.

    As of 07:00 hrs this am we have scattered cloud and variable visibility.


FORECAST:

A weak front will pass through today in a Westerly flow aloft. Should see an increase in cloud with some showers for today. The front will weaken on Saturday afternoon with rain showers in the morning improving in the evening. A weak ridge is expected to build for Sunday, strengthening Monday into Wednesday. Cooler unsettled weather is forecasted for later next week but lets see what unfolds.




    Low to the North with a Flat upper ridge to our South.

    Looks nice for Sunday & Monday.

    Looking sunny for Tuesday.

    Looks nice by mid week, but likely unsettled and cooler from Wednesday to next weekend.

Update on the forecast.

    High pressure for the next while, looks like sun shine for the rest of the week.

                   May see some weather by the weekend, only time will tell!!

    Saturday, smoke started to appear from the North. Max temp at 660 meters was 22.6 deg.

    Sunday was a fairly cloudy day, max temp at 660 meters was 19.6. Cool down with some rain.


    Sometimes rain is a welcome thing.


    Monday morning, Max temp in the valley was 24.8 deg.

     Monday evening water show. Not in Whistler.


    Nice evening Tuesday, Max temp at 660 meters was 26.7 deg.

   Nice looking morning, sunrise was at 05:18 Hrs.


FORECAST:

A few significant weather features will influence the forecast over the next week. First there is a warm upper ridge to our Southeast, a low pressure to our Northwest which will create a cooler upper long wave trough, and a Pacific surface ridge to our South. Friday and Saturday are looking sunny with warm temperatures, a weak cold front moves onshore from the Northwest on Saturday night into Sunday morning with cloudy conditions and some isolated showers. The surface ridge builds back on Monday with some lingering cloud, but improving by the afternoon. Tuesday into next Friday is looking nice with warm seasonable temperatures and mostly sunny skies. Keep an eye on the next  low to our North.

    Busy in the park late Wednesday afternoon.

    Cooler on Wednesday but the snow line has changed significantly in the past 2 weeks.


    Thursday afternoon, 21 Deg--Average for July is 22.8.
