    AVALANCHE ACTIVITY:

    Locally, no new avalanche activity observed yesterday.


    YESTERDAY:

    Gray day, early Wednesday morning.

    Light snow in the morning, flurries most of the day. 2 cm recorded at 14:00 Hrs at 1650 Meters.

    Overcast but decent light in the morning.

    Snow conditions are very good.

    Sun was very close to being out in the afternoon.

    Some better visibility as the day progressed.

    Later in the day.

    Just before sunset, which was at 17:39 Hrs. We are gaining 4 minutes of day light per day now.

    As of 07:00 hrs this am we have clear skies and unlimited visibility.


FORECAST:

A weak short wave upper ridge will bring mostly sunny skies for today in a Northerly flow aloft. A shortwave trough will push through on Friday with slightly warmer temperatures and light snow fall during the day. Saturday is looking unsettled with a mix of sun and cloud, slightly warmer but FL just above surface. An impulse of snow is expected for Saturday night, could be good powder skiing on Sunday. Cool Northwest flow aloft net week will bring light snow fall to the area Sunday thru Wednesday.
Guesstimates: 0 cm by Friday morning, 10-15 cm by Saturday morning, 10-20 cm by Sunday morning, 2-6 cm by Monday morning, 4-8 cm by Tuesday morning.

   Another awesome day in the Coast Mountains.

    No wind yesterday so the alpine was cold but pleasant.

    A few clouds around.

FORECAST:

A weak front is moving down the coast today with overcast skies and the chance of some isolated flurries in a Northwesterly flow aloft. The precipitation is likely to only fall along the coast so we may just see a few flurries. High rebuilds for Thursday with sunny skies and warmer temperatures.
A frontal band will arrive for Friday with some light snow and the FL remaining at surface. Unsettled weather for Saturday with sun in the morning and some cloud development in the afternoon. Sunday is looking good for an impulse of fresh snow.
Guesstimates: 1-3 cm by Thursday morning, 5-10 cm by Saturday morning, 2-4 cm by Sunday morning, 15-20 cm by Monday morning.

FORECAST:

A weak upper level trough dropping in from the North will eventually bring unsettled weather to the area today in a Northwest flow aloft. A slightly stronger trough tomorrow, will bring mostly overcast skies with the possibility of some intermittent snow flurries. Thursday the high briefly rebuilds before a series of fronts push through Friday, Sunday and Monday. Snow Friday with unsettled weather on Saturday.
Guesstimates: No snow until Friday, 10-20 cm by Saturday morning.
