The temperature at 2260 meters is -10, winds are 10-16 KPH from the S. Last night at Pig Alley there was no new snow, the height of settled snow is 100 cm. In the valley it was -1. These observations were taken at 06:00 hrs.
We could see 1-2 cm during the day before the next frontal wave gives us 15-20 cm for Friday morning. Light snow Friday with 5 cm during the day. Unfortunately the freezing level could reach 1300 meters on Friday afternoon. A drying trend happens Saturday through Monday with lowering freezing levels and colder temperatures.
In the past week we have received over a meter of new snow, during this time there has been natural avalanche activity observed, a skier accidental on Sunday, explosive control completed with surface results. Please read the avalanche advisory linked below.
