November 19, 2013; Taped weather recording -8 at 1835 meters this am. Winds 30-40 gusting 60. Broken skies with no precipitation. Should see significant sunny breaks later this morning.


Picture from last year at this time, nice fresh powder. Guess we will all have to be patient!! Looking dry for the next week.

GFS is still showing a dry North West flow for Friday.

2180 meters   -7.5, Winds were 30-40 KPH from the W
1835 meters            No Data Available
1650 meters   -5.5, 10 cm of new snow, 12 in 24 Hrs, Base 76 cm.
  660 meters     +1, 6 mm of precip on Nov 18Th.

For the forecast the trough is moving through our area with unsettled conditions in its wake. The upper level ridge will develop for Wednesday bringing cooler temperatures and mostly sunny skies. Northwest flow should bring sunny breaks later this morning with the freezing level dropping to the valley this morning. Westerly flow last night gave us more snow than forecasted, 10 cm of low density powder at pig alley. Conditions for the week look cool and dry until Saturday. Becomes warmer but dry into Monday, expect some cloud development after Thursday.

More moisture to the South last night, just missed about 60 cm of snow. Should see sunny breaks by this afternoon.



Moisture will be fairly close by on Thursday.

Even the long range models are showing the high slowly moving East by Sunday.
