    YESTERDAY:


    Snowing to the valley Thursday morning.

    No wind at 08:00 Hrs.

    Light snow at treeline, variable visibility.

    Tree skiing improved as the morning progressed. Eventually the snow became moist.

    Visibility in the alpine was difficult.

    16:30 Hrs, temperature was -1, winds were 20-30 KPH from the SE.

  660 meters    +2, Valley Temp, Max Temp Yesterday was +4.9, 6.0 mm of precip recorded yest


    As of 07:00 Hrs this am we have overcast skies and variable visibility.



FORECAST:

A lull in the warm moist flow today in a Westerly flow loft. We can expect unsettled weather (mostly cloudy) with periods of light precipitation. The freezing level will likely go to 2000 meters this afternoon, dropping back down to 1200 meters by tonight. Another weak frontal band for Saturday with light precipitation and the FL reaching 1700 meters.  Sunday and Monday are looking unsettled with a few showers and warm temperatures, as a weak dirty high builds..
Guesstimates: trace-2 cm By Saturday morning, 8-12 cm by Sunday morning, trace-1 cm by Monday morning, trace-2 cm by Tuesday morning.

    INFORMATION & OBSERVATIONS:

    Great turns to 1000 meters in the morning.

    The many layers of winter.

    Light snow for most of the day at 1860 meters. High of +2.5 yesterday at 16:00 Hrs.

    Snow became moist later in the day.


    14:30 Hrs on Thursday afternoon. Looking wet to the South. Very large atmospheric river!!

    Dry loose Sz 1 yesterday. Sc produced no slab avalanches..

    Slab avalanche from a couple of days ago.

    Large Glide Crack.

    Locally, not much to report. Xe -Sz 1 Cornice, Xe Sz 1 soft slab. Xc Sz 1.5


    YESTERDAY:

    Wednesday morning Whistler.

    Clouds were rolling in Wednesday morning.

    Blue Bird Wednesday morning in Pemberton.

    Playground for a session. Old Fracture lines.

    As of 07:00 Hrs we have overcast skies, variable visibility and snowing lightly.



FORECAST:

A slow moving warm front will bring periods of light snowfall above 1500 meters in a Southwest Flow aloft. The freezing level could reach 1800 meters today. Similar day on Friday with the FL rising to 2000 meters and we can expect around 10 mil of rain at the weather plots, snow above 1800 meters. Models are inconsistent at this time so Saturday and Sunday are difficult to forecast at this time. Likely overcast on Saturday with periods of light precipitation and a slowly descending FL. Sunday may be unsettled. More on the weekend by tomorrow.
Guesstimates: 5-10 cm by Friday morning, 2cm 10 mil by Saturday morning depending on FL, 10-15 cm by Sunday morning depending on FL, 1-3 cm by Monday morning.
